Real Madrid’s Club World Cup injury boost

Real Madrid offered major Club World Cup injury boost

Xabi Alonso’s Real Madrid Squad Update for FIFA Club World Cup

Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso is facing a crucial decision as he prepares to reveal his squad for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup. The deadline for selecting his team is June 10, with their first match against Al Hilal scheduled for June 18.

Despite ongoing international fixtures complicating his plans, Alonso is closely monitoring the injury status of his players. Key players such as Eder Militao, Antonio Rudiger, Ferland Mendy, and David Alaba are currently sidelined, adding to his selection dilemma.

There is hope on the horizon, with Dani Carvajal and Brahim Diaz potentially available for selection. Additionally, Brazilian duo Rodrygo Goes and Endrick Felipe are expected to be fit, with Goes possibly playing for his future at the club in the USA.

However, one player who could provide a major boost to Real Madrid is Eduardo Camavinga, who is making a late push to recover from injury.

Eduardo Camavinga’s Injury Update and Club World Cup Chances

French midfielder Camavinga had been ruled out of the competition due to a muscle injury he sustained in mid-April. However, after undergoing an intensive rehabilitation program, his chances of participating in the tournament have improved significantly, with reports suggesting he is now 50-50 for selection.

According to Marca, Alonso will wait until the last moment to make a decision on Camavinga’s availability. The midfielder will be given every opportunity to prove his fitness and potentially join new signings Dean Huijsen and Trent Alexander-Arnold on the trip to Miami.

Real Madrid’s Club World Cup Schedule

The FIFA Club World Cup kicks off on June 14, but Real Madrid’s first match is on June 18 against Al Hilal. The Spanish giants will then face Pachuca on June 22 and RB Salzburg on June 26 in the group stage of the tournament.
