Barcelona’s Continued Interest in Marcus Rashford Transfer

Barcelona is still keen on potentially securing a summer transfer move for Manchester United’s talented forward, Marcus Rashford. Rashford is reportedly one of four players eager to join Hansi Flick’s side for the upcoming 2025/26 season, as his future at Manchester United remains uncertain.

The English international is expected to depart from Old Trafford in the near future following a successful loan spell at Aston Villa under Unai Emery. Despite Rashford’s impressive form, Emery is not looking to bring him back to Villa Park due to the lack of UEFA Champions League qualification affecting the club’s transfer budget.

While Barcelona could benefit from this situation, they are still facing financial challenges in securing Rashford’s signature. The club will need to make a significant financial effort to bring him on board.

Manchester United’s Stance on Rashford’s Transfer Fee

Manchester United has accepted defeat in their attempts to negotiate a £40m transfer fee with Villa for Rashford. This amount remains the asking price for Barcelona if they are interested in signing the talented forward.

As Barcelona explores other options, United will be keeping a close eye on the situation. The Catalan club is also pursuing Nico Williams and Luis Diaz, both of whom have higher transfer values compared to Rashford. Williams has a €60m release clause at Bilbao, while Liverpool values Diaz at around €75m.

Rashford’s Transfer Hint to Barcelona

Amidst the ongoing transfer saga, Rashford has chosen to undergo a personal preseason training camp in Marbella, Spain. This move has only added fuel to the speculations linking him with a move to Barcelona.

According to reports from Mundo Deportivo, Rashford’s training in Marbella is aimed at improving his fitness and dispelling any doubts about his ability to stay injury-free. Ruben Amorim is looking to offload Rashford before July, alongside Jadon Sancho and Antony, but the process may take longer than expected for all three unwanted attackers.
