Flick confirms Barcelona’s tough preseason
Barcelona Boss Hansi Flick Prepares Intense Training Regime for 2025/26 Season
Barcelona manager Hansi Flick is gearing up for the upcoming 2025/26 season with a rigorous training program designed to push his squad to new heights. After skipping the FIFA Club World Cup this summer, the players are well-rested and ready to tackle the challenges ahead.
Intense Physical Testing and Double Sessions
According to reports from Diario Sport, Flick is wasting no time in getting his players back into top shape. The training sessions at Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper will be grueling, with no breaks scheduled and ten sessions planned for the first week alone. Three days will feature double sessions, with morning and afternoon camps to maximize training benefits.
The goal is to avoid the hottest part of the day for training, gradually transitioning to morning sessions before the team’s departure to Japan for their preseason tour.
Barcelona’s 2025/26 Preseason Schedule
Barcelona’s preseason kicks off in Japan on July 24th, with the first friendly match against Vissel Kobe on the 27th. The tour continues with matches against FC Seoul on July 31st and Daegu FC on August 4th in South Korea.
After returning to Spain, the team will prepare for the Joan Gamper Trophy on August 10th, although details of the game are yet to be confirmed. Due to renovation delays at Camp Nou, the venue for the trophy match is uncertain.
Barcelona’s first three games of the new season will be played away from home, with hopes of returning to their home turf after the September international break. The team will face challenges at Mallorca, Levante, and Rayo Vallecano before aiming to dazzle their fans back at Camp Nou.
