Barcelona Teen Midfielder Up for Sale

Noah Darvich set to Leave Barcelona for Return to Germany
Barcelona is actively working on raising funds by offloading players, and their latest departure will be promising academy talent Noah Darvich. Two years ago, Barcelona signed Darvich from Bundesliga side Freiburg for €2.5m, sparking excitement about his potential. Coming from the German national team’s youth categories, there were high hopes for his development at the Catalan club.

Despite the anticipation, Darvich failed to make a single appearance for Barcelona during his two-year tenure, leading to his imminent departure. According to a report by Florian Plettenburg, Darvich will be heading back to Germany to join Stuttgart on a permanent basis.
Stuttgart has been pursuing Darvich for some time now, and Barcelona has agreed to terms for his transfer. While Barcelona will receive a small fee for the player, they will relinquish any control over his future, with no release clause, buy-back option, or matching rights included in the deal.
Under the leadership of Hansi Flick, Barcelona has given opportunities to several La Masia players, but Darvich was not among them. With this move, it appears that Barcelona no longer sees Darvich as a key asset in their plans.
Looking ahead to the upcoming season, Darvich’s chances of breaking into the first team were slim, especially with Raphinha expected to take on an attacking midfielder role following the anticipated arrival of Nico Williams. While the sale benefits all parties involved, losing control over Darvich’s future remains a setback for Barcelona.
