Valencia Midfielder Javi Guerra: The Summer Transfer Saga

Valencia midfielder Javi Guerra is at the center of attention this summer for Los Che, as the club navigates the transfer window. While Yarek Gasiorowski and Cristhian Mosquera have already departed for PSV Eindhoven and Arsenal, respectively, Valencia seems determined to keep hold of the talented 22-year-old Guerra.

Interest from Top Clubs

Guerra’s contract with Valencia runs until 2027, and despite receiving significant interest from clubs like Manchester United, AC Milan, and Atletico Madrid, he is currently considering Valencia’s renewal offer. Reports suggest that Manchester United were close to reaching an agreement with Guerra’s camp, but Valencia has now presented a second renewal offer to the young midfielder.

AC Milan Leading the Race

Valencia is holding out for at least €20 million for Guerra, with Villarreal also having a 30% sell-on fee clause, making any potential deal cost at least €26 million. While Manchester United seemed poised to make a move, AC Milan has emerged as the frontrunner in the race for Guerra’s signature, showing the most interest in acquiring the midfielder.

Valencia’s Determination to Keep Guerra

Despite the interest from top clubs, Valencia is determined to retain Guerra, who is also open to staying at the club. Valencia is currently in negotiations with Guerra for a new contract and is not entertaining any offers for the midfielder at this time. With the recent departures of Mosquera and Yarek, Valencia’s focus on keeping Guerra showcases their commitment to building a strong squad for the upcoming season.
